Success at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase

OHF had achieved some amazing results at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase, demonstrating yet again how an open source community can get things done.
OHF, using the IHE components and the bridge, had enabled IHE based interoperability for eight open source and commercial applications there. We also had a support team on site (Sarah, Sondra, and Matt) to make sure everything ticks, and so it did :-)
The vendors where using the OHF FOSS components to do IHE XDS, PIX, PDQ, and ATNA. Or in other words shearing and searching patient IDs and documents, and sending Audit messages - using secured protocols.

At the HIMSS event we found that one of the OHF users, Practice Partners, was aquiered by McKesson. Technically this makes McKesson a distinguished OHF user :-)
On the same note we should mention that McKesson is partnering with RedHat, a yet another achievement to open source in the healthcare domain.
